NSCA supports Volt’s efforts to disseminate research-based strength and conditioning information to schools and teams.
Colorado Springs, CO; Seattle, WA – Wednesday, April 15, 2015: Volt Athletics Inc., the global leader in technology solutions for sport performance training, has announced a partnership with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the worldwide authority on strength and conditioning. The agreement establishes a mutually beneficial relationship to improve athletic performance and fitness, and to continue shaping the future of the strength and conditioning industry. The NSCA recently conducted a review of Volt Athletics’ online training platform, stating:
The Volt system provides unique access to the principles of safe and effective strength and conditioning advocated by the NSCA…Volt Athletics offers features that benefit both certified strength and conditioning coaches and sport coaches wearing multiple hats who are constrained by time and resources...Using a web-based training program delivery system gives coaches the tools to administer training successfully and manage their team from afar, while giving athletes the ability to access their workouts from any location on a phone, tablet, or printed in hard copy.
“The NSCA sets the standard for professionalism in the strength and conditioning industry and creating an NSCA-backed technology solution has always been a core pillar of Volt Athletics,” said Volt Co-Founder and CEO Dan Giuliani. “Working together, we are able to leverage new technology to make NSCA standards and research available and accessible to athletes and coaches at all levels.”
“We’re pleased to partner with Volt Athletics in support of a shared desire to enable access to research-based knowledge and its practical application to advance athletic performance and fitness,” commented Scott Caulfield, the NSCA’s Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Coaching Education Manager. “I personally use the Volt platform to deliver hockey training programs and believe it to be practical and truly valuable in today’s modern era of strength and conditioning.”
As part of the partnership, Volt will provide the NSCA with sample training programs for a variety of sports and will offer NSCA Associate Memberships at an exclusive price to all current and future customers. NSCA Associate Memberships includes access to the NSCA Basics of Strength & Conditioning manual, online educational materials, online journals, members-only content, discounted registrations to conferences and clinics, and discounts at the NSCA.com store.
About the National Strength and Conditioning Association
The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is an international nonprofit educational association founded in 1978. Evolving from a membership of 76, the association now serves nearly 30,000 members in 52 countries. Drawing upon its vast network of members, the NSCA develops and presents the most advanced information regarding strength training and conditioning practices, injury prevention, and research findings.
Unlike any other organization, the NSCA brings together a diverse group of professionals from the sport science, athletic, allied health, and fitness industries. These individuals are all in pursuit of achieving a common goal—the utilization of proper strength training and conditioning to improve athletic performance and fitness. Central to its mission, the NSCA provides a bridge between the scientist in the laboratory and the practitioner in the field. By working to find practical applications for new research findings in the strength and conditioning field, the association fosters the development of strength training and conditioning as a discipline and as a profession. Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the NSCA serves as a valuable resource for its members, the fitness industry, general public, and the media. The association provides a wide variety of resources and opportunities designed to strengthen, build, advance, and unify.
