The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is committed to providing its members with new resources as it continues to serve as the leader for continuing education and professional development for strength and conditioning coaches. After having tested a number of web-based platforms on the market, I found that Volt® Athletics offers features that benefit both certified strength and conditioning coaches and sport coaches wearing multiple hats who are constrained by time and resources.

The Volt system provides unique access to the principles of safe and effective strength and conditioning advocated by the NSCA. The result is that strength and conditioning coaches can impact more teams and athletes without adding to their workloads. I personally used the Volt platform to deliver summer training programs to my incoming freshmen and upperclassmen at Colorado College (Hockey), and found it to be practical and truly valuable in today’s modern era of strength and conditioning.

One of the best benefits Volt provides is efficiency in the programming process, as they help coaches maximize the time they spend creating and implementing programs. Using a web-based training program delivery system gives coaches the tools to administer training successfully and manage their team from afar, while giving athletes the ability to access their workouts from any location on a phone, tablet, or printed in hard copy.

KEY FEATURES

  • Workouts are built with the expertise of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS®)
  • Integrates technology with science and research-based programs
  • Enables coaches to deliver sound and effective programs to their athletes with or without access to an on-site, full-time strength and conditioning coach
  • Easy to use in terms of building and delivering workouts and getting instant feedback from athletes

The Volt system is also designed with the athlete in mind. Training programs are easy to follow, as they include video demonstrations, coaching points, and step-by-step instructions with technique images. These guidelines and images give athletes the best opportunity to perform each movement properly even when training away from their strength and conditioning coach.

Volt’s strength and conditioning coaches are CSCS certified by the NSCA and are committed to delivering training that is of the highest quality. The Volt workouts are built upon sound training principles, which have been proven through decades of research and practical application, and are recommended by a number of NSCA high school and collegiate strength and conditioning coaches across the country.

The NSCA is pleased to partner with Volt Athletics in support of a shared desire to pass on research-based knowledge and its practical application to improve athletic performance and fitness. The NSCA is committed to helping our members shape the future of the strength and conditioning profession, and will continue to provide more resources to make the most of your athletes and your career.
