Creating a Paradigm Shift in
Performance Training

See how we’ve provided a critical response to a major gap in performance-based training by focusing on one key aspect: people.

Past Limitations

Traditional performance-focused training is missing a key ingredient: Personalization.

This lack of individual attention sidelines the progress of athletes, and bogs down coaches and trainers in manual adjustments.

These analog methods fail to meet athletes where they are, ignoring their current needs and goals. At Volt, we aimed to change that.

The Volt Way

We’ve spent 10+ years listening to top athletes, coaches, and those dedicated to pursuing peak performance to hear exactly what they want.

We’ve combined purposeful AI with research-backed principles to make personalized training experiences accessible to everyone, for every session.

Welcome to Volt, where personalization meets performance.

A Journey of Friendship, Passion, and Innovation

Volt Athletics was born from the friendship and shared athletic passion of Dan Giuliani and Trevor Watkins.

Their story begins in high school, when they were dedicated and driven athletes that lacked access to expert training—and this experience would unknowingly fuel the creation for Volt later on. They later became roommates, with Dan working as a strength coach and Trevor working in technology. As with most great innovation, the idea for Volt emerged from necessity: as Dan struggled to efficiently create training programs for his athletes in Excel, Trevor stepped in to help. Combining their expertise, they developed a unique technology that evolved into a comprehensive platform, making elite-level strength and conditioning accessible and affordable for all.

In 2024, Volt furthered its mission to support holistic wellbeing by acquiring ZAMA Health, a mental health app for athletes.

This strategic move enables Volt to integrate physical training with mental wellness solutions, serving nearly 2 million individuals worldwide. Dan and Trevor’s personal experiences as athletes and coaches have driven them to create a tool that not only generates quality workout plans for any performance-driven individual but also empowers coaches of any kind to provide tailored, high-quality programs at scale. Their journey from high school friends to co-founders and industry veterans is a testament to their dedication and innovative spirit.
