Back-end Developer

Volt Athletics is looking for a backend software developer to join our product development team. This person will work alongside other experienced developers to create well-designed, robust, and performant software for consumer facing web and mobile applications. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain server-side Ruby software in a multi-tier web application environment making use of the Rails framework
  • Leverage RSpec, Travis CI, in-house QA, and other tools to ensure your code performs as expected
  • Tune existing and new APIs for maximum response-time performance and scalability
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
  • Participate in agile development process, with daily standup meetings and other planning sessions
  • Assist client-side and full-stack developers with API creation, modification and documentation
  • (optional) Assist with client side tasks using Angular.JS and React Native

Qualifications:

  • Must be passionate about building exceptional products, enjoy learning, and have excellent problem solving skills
  • 3+ years' experience writing and maintaining production server-side software for multi-tier web applications
  • 2+ years' work experience on production Rails applications
  • Familiarity with SOA, as well as building and maintaining APIs is highly desirable
  • JavaScript expertise, particularly with Angular or React/React Native, is a big plus
  • Interest in sports and fitness is a plus

Front-end Developer

Volt Athletics is searching for a highly capable, self-motivated Front End Developer to help us take the Volt customer experience to the next level. This person will be an integral part of a small product development team, with considerable opportunity to make a real and lasting contribution to the success of the product and company. Day to day focus will be on feature implementation and tuning both our desktop and mobile applications. More broadly, the person in this role is responsible for converting visual design to functional user experiences, and is expected to comfortably fill the gap between UX and server side software.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years JavaScript/HTML/CSS experience in a professional setting. Experience developing for mobile is required as well as experience with or a strong interest in React Native. Candidate must be comfortable developing in *nix environment, preferably Mac OS X. Rails development capabilities are a huge plus. Experience with AngularJS, GIT, AWS, and Heroku is nice to have.

Ability to work independently and adapt to changing business needs is critical. All candidates must have strong communication skills, with the ability to mentor less experienced developers and generally share knowledge amongst team members. An interest in sports and fitness is a big plus.

Content Marketing Specialist

The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating and managing content that creates demand for Volt’s product offerings and highlights Volt as an industry thought leader. This role will be responsible for content that drives awareness and educates prospects, influencers, and customers through email marketing, blogging, social media, community development, and other marketing projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Own creation and management of written and other content marketing initiatives (email, blog, social, etc.)
  • Manage email marketing deployment for all communication (A/B testing, list segmentation, list maintenance, etc.)
  • Write copy and stories in the voice of the Volt brand for educational campaigns, customer testimonials, product launches, and other company initiatives 
  • Manage and coordinate campaigns that include visual and video content
  • Help to plan, monitor, and manage Volt’s social media handles, profiles, and posts
  • Monitor all social platform interactions, responding when appropriate, and work closely with customer service team to ensure issue resolution

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing, proofing, and editing skills for marketing-oriented content
  • Hands-on experience managing B2C & B2B marketing campaigns
  • Ability to develop conceptual ideas that align with overall creative strategy and communicate them through creative writing
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word as well as Adobe products (specifically Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Excellent verbal communication, analytical skills, and the ability to time manage effectively with multiple collaborators

Customer Success Specialist

The Customer Success Specialist is responsible for ensuring the success of Volt customers. The role will be responsible for answering email requests, phone calls, and being an internal advocate for the Volt customer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide email and phone support to Volt customers
  • Acquire and maintain expert knowledge of Volt’s product offerings
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and knowledgeable support to Volt customers by responding to, researching, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving simple and complex questions
  • Use available resources such as the incident tracking system, knowledge base, documentation, etc. to research customer issues
  • Assist with payment processing and tracking
  • Coordinate with Account Managers and other internal stakeholders to ensure every Volt customer has a successful experience using the technology

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or other related fields
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal & external audiences and multiple organizational levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build team relationships with peers and cross-functional co-workers
  • Initiative and drive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to successfully multitask and prioritize work
  • Experience working with sport coaches is a plus
  • Background in exercise science and/or strength & conditioning is a plus

Team Sales Specialist

Volt Athletics is seeking a sales professional with 2+ years of experience to join the Coach Relations department in this exciting and growing company, to be responsible for driving revenue through new accounts at high school and college athletic departments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping athletes and teams reach their full potential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execution of timely and impactful responses to leads who have expressed interest or request additional information
  • Ability to surpass aggressive sales goals to help the team ensure company revenue and profitability growth
  • Develop and maintain personal relationships with key client decision makers and influencers
  • Coordinate client care with other members of the Coach Relations team
