Visual Designer

Volt Athletics is looking for a Visual Designer to join our design team. Volt builds technology that helps every athlete train like a pro. From our mobile app to our team training platform, we’re trusted by over 250,000 athletes and coaches to deliver the best sport-specific training in the world.

In this position, you’ll work closely with our Head of Design and Director of Marketing to create web, print and social media assets that are beautiful, memorable and effective. You’ll also play a supporting role in the UI design of our athlete and team products. You’ll contribute heavily to the way we tell our story and engage customers, all as part of a design-oriented, collaborative, and fun team.

To be considered, you'll need:

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design ability, including composition, color, and typography

  • 1-2+ years of visual design-related experience at an agency or in-house

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and feedback skills

  • The ability to work within an established style while helping to evolve it over time

  • Proficiency in design tools like Sketch/Figma, Photoshop and Illustrator

Bonus points if you:

  • Are interested in sports and/or fitness

  • Can build your web work in HTML/CSS

  • Have video experience in apps like Premiere and After Effects

  • Have a deep familiarity with social media platforms & best practices

  • Have UX/UI design experience

Back-end Developer

Volt Athletics is looking for a backend software developer to join our product development team. This person will work alongside other experienced developers to create well-designed, robust, and performant software for consumer facing web and mobile applications. This person will be an integral part of a small but growing team, with considerable opportunity for professional growth and to make a real and lasting contribution to the success of the company. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Write and maintain server-side Ruby software in a multi-tier web application environment making use of the Rails framework

  • Leverage RSpec, Travis CI, in-house QA, and other tools to ensure your code performs as expected

  • Tune existing and new APIs for maximum response-time performance and scalability

  • Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements

  • Participate in agile development process, with daily standup meetings and other planning sessions

  • Assist client-side and full-stack developers with API creation, modification and documentation

  • (optional) Assist with client side tasks using Angular.JS and React Native

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Must be passionate about building exceptional products, enjoy learning, and have excellent problem solving skills

  • 3+ years' experience writing and maintaining production server-side software for multi-tier web applications

  • 2+ years' work experience on production Rails applications

  • Familiarity with SOA, as well as building and maintaining APIs is highly desirable

  • JavaScript expertise, particularly with Angular or React/React Native, is a big plus

Team Sales Specialist

Volt Athletics is seeking a sales professional with 2+ years of experience to join the Coach Relations department in this exciting and growing company, to be responsible for driving revenue through new accounts at high school and college athletic departments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping athletes and teams reach their full potential. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execution of timely and impactful responses to leads who have expressed interest or request additional information

  • Ability to surpass aggressive sales goals to help the team ensure company revenue and profitability growth

  • Develope and maintain personal relationships with key client decision makers and influencers

  • Coordinate client care with other members of the Coach Relations team

  • Provide timely feedback to other company functions including marketing/communications and development

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, communications or sports management

  • 2+ years' experience in B2B sales or strength and conditioning

  • Must be proficient technically and able to use MS and Google tech suite

  • Strong preference for applicants with collegiate level or higher athletic experience

  • A CSCS certification is a plus

Inside Sales Team Coordinator

Volt Athletics is seeking an inside sales coordinator to join the Coach Relations department to be responsible for supporting our rapid growth and work with Volt’s inside sales team along with high school and college athletic departments. The ideal candidate will have an operational mindset and passion for helping athletes and teams reach their full potential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a seamless extension of our inside sales team and customer success team as you help nurture our existing customer relationships and support the process of developing new ones

  • Lead operational initiatives for the inside sales team and customer success teams

  • Manage and coordinate key parts of the prospect and customer journey, including email communication, invoicing, and onboarding

  • Coordinate and implement sales and customer success initiatives

  • Maintain and review targeted lists of prospect lists for Coach Relations team

  • Schedule and attend inside sales activities with our Coach Relations team

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • At least one year of office experience

  • A demonstrated understanding of sales operations and industry best practices

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, invoicing, and email sales & marketing tools

  • Confident, outgoing personality with excellent ability to connect and work with people of diverse backgrounds and personalities

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to details and ability to prioritize many tasks

  • Strong writing and editing skills including excellent grammar and spelling
